Settled in...???

Well I haven't blogged FOREVER!!! We moved in December and its been a roller coaster since. I am now a janitor at Nebraska Christian School in Central City and the girls are attending there for FREE!!! Gotta love that word. Dan is still at the sand plant in Genoa. I'm so amazed at how God opened this door for us to have the girls in a Christian school and us under one roof each night. We are attending a good church and have met a few people here. There is only 28 more days of school left! I'll have to work this summer but I'm excited for summer for the girls.

1st Day of School!!

It was off to school today for the first day of Second grade for Cheyenne and Kindergarten for Cierra. Dan was off of work today so we made breakfast and were able to take them to school together. Cheyenne was off and running to her class not even waiting for us. Cierra started holding on to my leg on the long walk up to the door. Tears were falling down but she was a brave girl. She has one close friend in her classroom and said that she was going to go back tomorrow. Its a long day for them, they leave at 7:50 and get home at 4:00. It does work out perfect with my schedule though.

Summer Time!

Wow, is it HOT!!! We've been to the pool a couple of times but today the water was almost warm enough it didn't even feel good. For some reason this year we are having an awful time with our garden. The plants look awful, on the verge of death. We have never had a problem like this before and I was so excited about the peppers, beans, squash, tomatoes and all the stir fry I was going to make. The girls are I hope, enjoying their summer, they'd spend the whole day at the pool if I'd let them.

Cheyenne's Field Day

Cheyenne had a field day out at the school on the 18th. Dan, Cierra, and I went out to watch. She competed in the long jump, slipper kick, 3 legged race and the 400 meter run!!!! She got first in the long jump, she jumped 10 feet and then fell back and was marked at 7.4 feet.... I think thats pretty good for a first grader. She got 2nd in the slipper kick, 6th in the 3 legged race and in the 400M... she's just like her dad.... SHE GOT FIRST!!! She made it in 1:55 with the 90 degree heat and the wind. What a girl! I'm afraid track may be an event I'm going to have to learn to love. So school is out for the summer and the girls are looking forward to the pool opening up.

Nothing much to say.

We are all decorated for Christmas. Didn't take long, I don't have alot to put up. The girls are so excited its Christmas time. I'm almost done with my college class and next semester I'm planning on taking 3 classes, we'll see. The year is going way too fast. Hopefully I'll come up with something more interesting to post soon!
